Conference Youth League Preview

Match preview

vs.
Venue:Leigh Sports Village, WN7 4GY
Date:Sunday 9th September 2012
Kick Off:13:30
Competition:Conference Youth League - West
Round:9
Referee:Jason Sykes

There are five games in the CYL this weekend with three games in the East Division and two in the West.

WEST HULL v EAST LEEDS is undoubtedly the game of the day in the East with both sides in the top-four at present and both well in the mix for a play-off place.

The sides met on the opening weekend of the season with Easts running out 22-10 winners and a similar outcome this time round would see the West Yorkshire side overtake Dewsbury Celtic and move to the top of the table.

MILFORD MARLINS will hope to claim only their third win of the season when GATESHEAD THUNDER arrive at the Kirkstall home, whilst third-placed HOLDERNESS VIKINGS should have too much firepower for bottom side HEMEL STAGS.

LEIGH EAST will try and cut the gap on runaway leaders Wigan St Judes when they host SADDLEWORTH RANGERS.

Leigh passed the half-century mark when the two sides met in the reverse fixture back in June and they will be looking for a similar result this time as they try consolidate a play-off berth.

Fourth-placed RYLANDS SHARKS travel to fifth-placed FOLLY LANE in the remaining game in the West.

Just a point separates them in the league ladder and the sides played out an entertaining high-scoring game back May.
